Meijer to Hire 6,000 New Employees in Michigan

Those interested in applying at the Hartland Meijer should visit www.jobs.meijer.com and indicate the preferred location during the application process.

Meijer locations across the Midwest are currently hiring up to 12,000 new employees, and about half of those positions are being filled in Michigan alone.

Meijer stores are hiring new employees for the holiday season and to meet additional growth within the company, according to a Meijer release.

“Customer service is one of the things that truly sets Meijer apart from our competition,” said Janet Emerson, executive vice president of operations for Meijer, in the release. “Our goal is to deliver the best customer experience and the lowest prices, and as we continue to grow it’s so important that we have the right levels of staff and the right people in those roles.”

“While most of the seasonal opportunities are part-time, these jobs can provide a gateway to a full-time career at Meijer,” said Jenny Hawat, vice president of talent recruitment and retention, in the release. “As we move into a new year, we frequently look to seasonal employees first to fill our on-going part-time and full-time needs. It is a wonderful opportunity to get your foot in the door and demonstrate success within a growing company.”
