Here is a list of must-do and must-see things in Northville.

Recreation

 

How about a stroll and a picnic? Maybury State Park is one of Michigan's fine collection of state parks. It features nearly 1,000 acres, with a large variety of trails and activity opportunities. The trails are each tailored specifically for horse riding, mountain biking, hiking, cross-country skiing and jogging. Rolling meadows are lined by densely wooded forests. There's even an eight acre pond for fishing.

The most well-known of Northville's historic farms will be a treat for families. You can check out products made on the grounds at the working farm maintained by the Northville Community FoundationPatrons can also walk to the barn area where there are friendly animals to meet. (You can even pet some of them.)

Explore Northville's history in a beautiful, family-friendly and educational environment. There are live demonstrations and events throughout the year in the historic buildings in the village. 

The Northville cider mill is a great place to take the family or grab some goodies for yourself, when it opens in the fall. You can hang out, buy cider and cider donuts, grab a seat at a table and let the kids enjoy themselves in the play area.

Art and entertainment

One thing you'll notice about Northville is that it's an artsy town.

If the theater is your brand of fun, the  is a great option. To check out artworks of all sorts, visit the .  also offers live dinner theatre.

There are also a number of art galleries in downtown Northville, if you want to purchase something to take home., the , , and the  are all located in downtown Northville.

You can create pottery works to take home at the  on Main Street.

Food

When you're ready to take a break from all of that sight-seeing, there are several restaurants around Northville to appeal to a variety of tastes.

If you're more interested in grabbing a drink with your meal, try , also , or the newly opened  in the downtown area. If you're in the township, the  is a great choice.

The  has wonderful pizza and barbecue options. LeGeorge offers a more Mediterranean flavor and Tiramisu has great Italian fare.

To catch a quick sandwich, you can hit , the  in the downtown area or  north of Five Mile and Sheldon roads.

Shopping

There are many small businesses in the downtown area to appeal to a variety of shopping interests. Several boutiques line Main Street with clothing options. There's  on Main Street and the newly opened  in the Northville Square shopping center.

If you're shopping for children and babies, you're in luck because there are a number of specialty store for them in Northville - including ,  and .
