Used Book Sale and Homecoming Corsages Highlight This Week's Deals

This week's savings tip

The Elder-Beerman store in Howell is once again sponsoring its Goodwill Sale. Bring in your gently-used clothing and receive a 20 percent coupon for each item donated. This is a wonderful way to help out the community, support our businesses and save money at the same time. The sale starts today, Sept. 14, and customers will receive double coupons today only.

Deal: The Fall Used Book Sale starts Thursday with a preview night from 5-7:30 p.m. — members only. Doors open at 9 a.m. on Friday until 5 p.m. and Saturday hours are 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. 

Good through: Thursday through Saturday.


Deal: Take 10 percent off all Homecoming corsages when you pre-order as least six days in advance. Must mention Dollars In$ide coupon to recieve discount. In-Store offer only.

Good through: Sept. 30.


Deal: Stock up on your winter make-up with Walgreen's buy one, get one 50 percent off on select brands that include Maybeline, Cover Girl and Revlon.

Good through: Saturday.


Deal: On Wednesday only, Kohl's is having an All-Day Doorbuster sale with select clothing and jewelry 50 percent to 60 percent off. The sale also includes an Everyday Kitchen 15-piece stainless steel cookware set for $49.99, originally $99.99, and metal wall art for $17.99, regularly $39.99.

Good on: Wednesday.


Deal: New specials include the lunch special of pizza and beer for $5.99 and steak (filet) quesidilla for $9.99. Black Rock is also introducing a new dinner entree of veal chops on the stone for $22.99.

You have to be a friend of the library to go to Thursday's preview, but you can purchase a $5 membership at the door and get first crack at the books!
