Good Morning Hartland

Can you believe it's Friday, already? The week went by fast, didn't it? Here are five tidbits of news and information that we hope you'll find useful or entertaining.

1. The weather

Expect cloudy skies with a 50 percent chance of rain, most likely in the afternoon as temperatures struggle to get over 60, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, more rain is possible (40 percent chance) with areas of fog after 2 a.m.

Looking at the weekend, the clouds remain dominant Saturday with a 40 percent chance of showers and a high near 64. The chance of rain diminishes Saturday night (20 percent) with a low of around 48.

On Sunday, rain remains a distinct possibility (40 percent), but it'll be party sunny with a high of about 68. Clouds return Sunday night while the chance of precipitation remains the same with a low of about 52.

2. Fuel prices

Here's a quick daily survey of the regular per-gallon price, according to gasbuddy.com —

  • : $3.59
  • : $3.69 (cash is 10 cents lower)
  • Shell: $3.79
  • Lowest price in the Fenton area: $3.45 at six stations including three at U.S. 23 and Owen Road.
  • Lowest price in the Brighton area: $3.43 at Costco at 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd in Green Oak Township.

3. Hartland Estates holding a subdivision sale

4. Blood drive at Our Savior Lutheran

There's a blood drive at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 13667 Highland Rd.

5. Hartland trivia
