There are areas of fog before 8 a.m. with hit and miss with rain (40 percent chance) under cloudy skies and temperatures rising near 68 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, is more likely, especially after 8 p.m. with a low around 53.

Here's a quick daily survey of the regular per-gallon price, according to gasbuddy.com —

  • Shell: $3.59
  • : $3.65 (cash is 10 cents lower)
  • Lowest price in the Fenton area: $3.39 at three stations — a Clark at N LeRoy and Third, a Marathon at Silver Lake and Lincoln and a Shell at Silver Lake near U.S. 23.
  • Lowest price in the Brighton area: $3.31 at Costco, 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd.

4. Hartland MSU student joins honor society

Giacomo Mattioli of Hartland is now a member of the Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society at Michigan State University, according to the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus.

5. Hartland trivia

Congrats to Linda Bowen who answered Wednesday's question. Hubbard Bullard (what a cool name) came to Hartland in 1834. What did he help build in 1836 on Dunham Road about a quarter mile west of Fenton Road? Answer: a school.
