Good Morning Hartland — Happy Birthday Mr. Cain

It's the Monday that's Columbus Day. Here are five tidbits of news and information that we hope you'll find useful or entertaining.

A Hartland High School graduate, Cain has been with the district for 25 years, serving as a teacher, coach, high school assistant principal, athletic director and principal at Village for 10 years.

The Hartland Board of Education holds a 6:30 p.m. meeting Monday in the board room at the , 9525 Highland Rd.

4. Hartland Glen hosts college golf event

University of Detroit Mercy won the Detroit Titans Fall Classic that was held over the weekend at , according to an article in the Detroit Free Press.

Sophomore Lindsey Lammers shot a school-record 67 for the Titans, which finished at 590. Lammers tied with Oakland University's Elizabeth Ecker for medalist honors at 140, forcing a playoff won by Ecker.

Overall, Oakland was runner-up five shots back.

5. Hartland trivia
