Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

Why Go: Chance for a memorable mom/son moment.

Pricing: $20 at the door.

Where/When: , 10635 Dunham Rd, (Commons), Thursday 6:45-8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Chance for a memorable dad/daughter moment.

Pricing: $14 per family (paid in advance by 3 p.m. Feb. 10); or $20 at the door.


Where/When: Central United Methodist Church at 3882, Highland Road in Waterford, Friday 8 p.m. 

Why Go: Enjoy a youth production of How the West was Dun, a comedy/melodrama.

Pricing: $10 for adults, $6 kids 12 and under


Where/When: Kensington Metropark in Milford, Saturday and Sunday Noon-4 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of the park as horses pull you from Kensington Farm Center, past the fields and through the woods.

Pricing: $3 per child and $5 per adult

SKATING WITH ELMO

Where/When: , in Brighton, Feb. 16., 10 a.m.- noon and 1 p.m.- 3 p.m.

Why Go: Preschool kids can skate with their Sesame Street favorite while you get some exercise too. Push toys and strollers welcome.

Pricing: $6 admission includes skate rental, hot dog, soda and snack.
