Hartland Gas Prices Continue to Drop as Refinery Issues Eased

Prices at the pumps in Hartland are about $3.79 on Monday.

Hartland's gas prices continued to fall from their springtime peak as refinery issues eased across the state, according to AAA Michigan.

The lowest price reported on MichiganGasPrices.com this morning from Hartland was $3.79 at Speedway (10070 Highland Rd.). The site, part of GasBuddy.com, reports real-time user-submitted data on gas prices at specific stations.

Gas is $3.66 at Marathon (401 E. Grand River.) and $3.67 at Shell (6000 Pinckney Rd), Sunoco (202 N. Michigan Ave.) and Citgo (840 E. Grand River).

The average Detroit price is $3.57. The average statewide price is $3.64, down about 30 cents over the week, and 61 cents lower than a recent high of $4.25 on June 7.

Prices increased in Michigan following lingering issues at several Midwest refineries that supply gasoline to several neighboring state, but issues appear to be clearing up.

In Michigan, Flint's average price of $3.54 is the lowest compared to nine other metro areas in AAA's fuel gauge report. Jackson had the highest price at $3.72 per gallon.
