Hartland Smilemakers, Big Boy, Kahuna Coffee Win in Scarecrow Contest

Hartland Patch awards gift card in offshoot drawing.

Big Boy's , Hartland Smilemakers' , and Kahuna Coffee's garnered enough votes this past week to win awards in the first-ever Hartland Heritage Day scarecrow contest.

A total of 580 votes were received during from Sept. 10-16 while about 20 businesses and groups created scarecrows, said Ceci Marlow, director of the .

Congratulations to all who participated in this event! I really liked the "Hartland Firefighters" scarecrow up on the ladder!! But everyone did a great job and it created a fun atmosphere in the area!

It was so much fun to see so many businesses participating in this! Had a blast checking them all out. Nice job Hartland, but my heart belonged to Ben at Waldenwoods!
