Show Us Your Harlem Shake, Hartland

Cheerleaders, students and even the teachers can do it, so can you. Post your videos here.

If you can do the Harlem Shake, you can share your video with your Hartland neighbors here on Patch.

The Harlem Shake as an Internet meme began earlier this month, when five teens from Australia uploaded a 30-second video to YouTube and then watched it go viral.

Since then, thousands of groups of dancers have created spinoffs. We have gathered a few local versions here.

  • Students at Hartland High School did one for their morning announcment.
  • The high school teachers at Hartland High School got into the dance during a spirit assembly.
  • The Hartland cheerleaders showed off their "shake" at districts.

The video versions are not without controversy, though. At Milford High School last week, students were suspended for allegedly filming an inappropriate Harlem Shake video at the school. (Please, only upload your "clean" versions on Patch!)
