Why go: A benefit for athletes of the Charyl Stockwell Academy District.

Price: $15 for a 1-mile fun run; $22 for a 5K.

Where/when: 1 p.m. Sunday at Brighton's Mill Pond Park. Registration begins at noon.

Why go: Help raise money for research of Alzheimer's Disease by walking 2K (1.2 miles) that includes family fun, music and entertainment.
