Why go: Support The Connection Youth Services of Howell, which provides help to teens and families in crisis. It is a program of the Livingston Family Center, a nonprofit United Way agency.

Why go: Watch Rio on an inflatable screen for free from your car, lawn chair or blanket. It's the last one in the monthly series.

Why go: It's a fantastic family event, and it's free. Watch an 1860s baseball game, check out some Ford Model A cars and get a tour of the historic Haven Hill property.

Where/when: 9 a.m. Sunday in Possom Hollow Playfield West Picnic Area at Kensington Metropark.

Why go: A benefit for athletes of the Charyl Stockwell Academy District.

Price: $15 for a 1-mile fun run; $22 for a 5K.

Where/when: 1 p.m. Sunday at Brighton's Mill Pond Park. Registration begins at noon.

Why go: Help raise money for research of Alzheimer's Disease by walking 2K (1.2 miles) that includes family fun, music and entertainment.
