Where's the Hartland Patch scarecrow?

Tells us where he is and qualify for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Meijer.

You've no doubt heard of Where's Waldo? For the next seven days, we're asking Hartland: Where's Patches?

He's the scarecrow we created for the Hartland Heritage Day scarecrow contest. To add to the fun, we thought we'd add our own contest.

If you see Patches around town, be the first to report where to the community on our site and you'll be entered in a drawing for a $25 gift card to Meijer. There's only seven days, so there will be seven chances to win.

For today, simply enter his location in comments on this story, this feature on another scarecrow or in the activity stream. You must be a Patch user to enter. (It is free and this will allow you to comment). See at the bottom for our contest rules.

Now, let's tell you a little more about Patches, just like we will with all the other scarecrows over the next seven days.

Location of scarecrow: Will change daily

Theme of entry: Reporter. Wearing a green Patch T-shirt, jeans and a hat that includes a "Press" card, Patches will be roving the community just like our reporters and photographers.

We entered the contest as well as holding our own to help promote Hartland Heritage Day and a few Patch editors had a great time Friday putting him together. (See photos).

Mounted on wood frame, we used plastic bottles, duct tape, newspapers and straw to build our scarecrow. We used tips on these two websites for help:
