HVCA Presents Musica Batteria , An Acoustical Feast in Marimba Music

Musica
Batteria
the
duo of Lynn Koch and Kristen Tait, will conclude the last Huron Valley Council
for the Arts Classical Series with a unique performance on a vintage, six-foot
long rosewood marimba at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 26. at the HVCA art
center 205 W. Livingston Road,
Highland.

Doors
open at 7 p.m. for the concert, which offers a varied repertoire as well as two
players performing on a single instrument, creating a musically- and
visually-dynamic performance. The music the duo will perform includes something
for everyone — including favorite classical works, ragtime, jazz and traditional
Latin music. Musica Batteria also
will delve into the history of the marimba and its
literature.
