The Humane Society of Livingston County's Fur Ball

The Humane Society of Livingston County is hosting the 13th annual Fur Ball, an evening of dancing, dining and bidding on auction items to support the more than 1,000 cats and dogs the shelter cares for.

Single tickets cost $85 each and a pair of tickets costs $160. A table of 10 tickets can be purchased for $750. Tickets purchased before Monday, March 31 are entered into a drawing for a Fitbit fitness tracker,

Tickets can be purchased online at www.furballlivingston.org. They also can be purchased as the shelter, located at 2464 Dorr Road in Howell, and by calling the shelter at 517- 552-8050.

Some of the items available in the live auction include:

  • A six-night South African safari
  • Seven nights in a private farmhouse villa in Tuscany, Italy, that accommodates eight people
  • A three night whale watching adventure in the San Juan Islands north of Seattle
  • A three night wine and cheese experience in Napa Valley
  • Indy 500 tickets and pit passes
  • A signed Barry Sanders helmet
  • Signed Red Wings jerseys
  • Gift certificates from local merchants
