Patch is the place to connect with neighbors, local businesses and nonprofit organizations in your town. In addition to the professionally reported news you've come to rely on from Patch, one of the most vital pieces of our platform are the community voices we feature from users like you.

By starting a blog, you've already taken the first step towards sharing YOUR story on Patch. Your blog is a place to share everything and anything you'd like (so long as it plays by our Terms of Use).

Think of it as your little corner of the digital universe. You can dress it up however you'd like, and post whenever and however you want. Because your content is important to us, every post is highlighted on the homepage, in our daily newsletter and promoted on social media.

Maybe you just started your blog or perhaps you’re already an old pro. Either way, we’ve put together some tips every blogger should check out (trust us, they're helpful!):

  • SEO Tips for Bloggers  Tips for getting more readers! Be Google friendly and user friendly -- everything you need to know about SEO.

And if you're reading this, but haven't yet started a blog, it's super easy!

To get started, click "Blogs" in the main navigation bar above. Then, in the upper left-hand corner, click the "Start your own Blog" icon. You'll then be asked three things: to name your blog, to write a short description of the blog and to upload a thumbnail to appear on the account. Once you hit the "Create your blog" button, you'll be on your way to making your first blog post. It's that simple!
