Hartland, MI - Members of Dynamic Expressions - Hartland Community Education's dance program - will once again embark on the trip of a lifetime. In June 2014, they're headed to Orlando, Florida to dance at Walt Disney World with other students from around the globe!
The local dance program first sent a group of dancers to Disney in 2012, and the experience was so "magical", many are looking to repeat the experience, alongside some new to the trip. As part of the "Dance The World" experience, the girls get to dance in a parade in the Magic Kingdom, and also do a 2nd performance (of their own original choreography) on stage in Hollywood Studios.
The girls work very hard to make this a reality, putting in extra practice throughout the school year after their regular dance class has completed, to learn their Disney dances. They also are working hard to raise funds for the trip.
Dynamic Expressions has planned a fantastic evening of family fun on Friday, November 8, with dinner, trivia, and a silent auction, with all proceeds going to the dancers and their families to cover travel costs. Silent auction items include a paintball outing for 10 from Hell's Survivors, 4 tickets to a Hartland Players production with dinner at a local restaurant, and a beautiful necklace/earrings set from FAO Jewelers, among many other gift certificates to local restaurants, items from local businesses, and more!
Dynamic Expressions would like to thank Hell's Survivors, SugarHigh Bakery of Frankenmuth, Big Boy of Hartland and Brighton, Red Robin, Panera Bread, Gus's Carry Out, Jet's Pizza, FAO Jewelers, Leo's Coney Island, Tony Sacco's Coal Oven Pizza, the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, Hartland Community Education, Fantastic Sam's, Belle Ami, Rollerama, Tim Horton's, Stonekast Studios, thirty-one, Brighton Bar and Grill, Cooper and Binkley, Sagano, Bagger Dave's, The Pound, Fountain Nails, Subway, Village Florist, Waldenwoods, Hartland Players, Hartland Flowers, Dukes of Highland, Heavenly Hair, Salon del Sol, Bakers of Milford, Kensington Mills Fall, Wind River Gallery, Detroit Red Wings, Pawsitively Perfect Pet Salon, Roman Pools, Detroit Pistons and the Cromaine Library for their very generous donations and support!
The fundraising event will take place at the Hartland Educational Support Services Center (the old Hartland High School) at 9525 E. Highland Rd, just west of Target. Dinner starts at 6:30pm, with trivia to follow at 7pm. Silent auction bidding will be open until approximately 8:30pm. Dinner costs $5.00 per person. Entering the trivia game, which will take about an hour and will feature approximately 60 to 70 questions, is also $5.00. There will be a cash prize for the winning team. Participation in the silent auction is free.
Childcare is provided (by donation) by the older dance students, with the kids being able to dance one of the school's two dance studios.
