Hartland Township Seeks Residents for Task Force
Hartland Township is seeking residents to for its Safer Roads and Pathways Task Force. The newly convened committee is charged with identifying road and pathway issues, particularly those impacting safety, and working in tandem with the Township to identify solutions to these issues. The committee will meet monthly for the next year.
“In the recent resident survey, local road conditions were a clear point of frustration,” says Hartland Township Supervisor Bill Fountain. “This task force will work to determine which roads need the most attention and whether the Township should step into this issue. While the Township does not own any of the roads within our borders, feedback seems to indicate that maintaining our roads is an area in which residents want the Township to act.”
To be considered for the Safer Roads and Pathways Task Force, interested parties are asked to complete the committee form that can be found on the township website at www.hartlandtwp.com and return it to Township Manager James Wickman. Applications will be accepted through Tuesday,Oct. 23, 2013.
