5 Creative Ways to Fill Local Wishes

From Meals on Wheels to donating children's books, there are plenty of ways to help fill local wishes.

  • Do you like to drive and have a day available during the week? If so, consider being a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. With many of their volunteers being 'snow birds' the need for help is greater during the winter. Contact Bridget at 810-632-2155.
  • Is your craft supply cupboard overflowing at home? If so call the Boy Scouts, or the Brighton, Howell, Hartland and Putnam Twp. Senior Centers, or "Be Our Guest" Adult Day Care.
  • Have extra children's books that are in good shape? Contact Child Connect for Family Success, Big Brothers Big Sisters, or LACASA.
  • Need to clean back-office shelves or have extra office supplies? Lots of local organizations are in need of these items. Please consider sharing.
  • Care to help someone get to work or doctors appointments? Consider purchasing L.E.T.S. bus tokens or other gift cards.
