Photographer Discusses Lake Superior Book and Says 'Good Morning, Hartland!'

It's Wednesday and here are some tidbits of news and information that we hope you'll find useful or entertaining.

1. The weather

Expect partly sunny skies with a high near 32 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Winds will be out of the southwest between 13 and 15 miles per hour with gusts as high as 21 mph. Tonight, it'll be mostly cloudy with a low of about 28 as winds drop to between 6 and 8 mph out of the west.

3. Hartland high school senior finishes sixth in statewide forensics tournament

Hartland High School senior Rhianna Dilworth placed sixth Dec. 3 in a statewide forensics tournament at Dexter High School, according to the January edition of Community Life.

Rhianna read her original poem When I First Heard the Flute, according to the newspaper.

4. Oceola Township twins featured in National Geographic

Johanna and Eva Gill, 6-year-old twins from Oceola Township, are in this month's National Geographic in a story on twins, according to media reports.

The girls became part of the article after visiting Twinsburg, Ohio, for an annual festival on twins when the magazine was reporting on its story, according to WHMI-FM (93.5).

The twins, who overcame a rare disease while in the womb with the help of an experimental surgery in 2005, have also been featured in the Wall Street Journal, according to the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus.

5. Hartland trivia

No one weighed in on what they thought was the best "Good Morning Hartland" video in 2011 or why in response to , but we did get plenty of responses to our poll. The video currently in first with 35 percent is the one where Village Elementary School students .
