Received an e-mail from my friend, Jake, who continues to share his light for peace and justice for the voiceless Palestinians, suffering in Israel/Palestine. I have copied his letter to the President below: Happy Easter, Jake! You represent to me a "brave pansy" like in the photo!

Dear President Obama,

Although you and our legislators very likely know what is going on in Palestine, much of it while peace talks are occurring, it seems as though a reminder of a few highlights might be in order.
The wall is 403 miles long, all of it on Palestinian land. By contrast, the Berlin wall was 96 miles long.

Over 1500 Palestinian children have been killed since 2000.
Israel confiscated 87% of Palestinian land, and last week confiscated another half square mile. Palestinian homes are being demolished almost daily.
Israel plans to relocate 40,000 Bedouins from their ancestral lands. We still are painfully aware of the Trail of Tears involving the Cherokee Indians but that involved half the number, 20,000.
Our Peace talks seem to provide cover for Israel’s continued atrocities and little more. Natenyahu says that the major obstacle to peace is the fact that Palestine does not recognize Israel’s right to exist. Has he recognized Palestine’s right to exist?
Why don’t our news media dare to tell us these things?
This could not occur without out political and financial support. You and congress can stop it. Please do it NOW.
