Condolences Streaming in for Howell Business Owner, Hartland Grad

Howell business owner Jeannine MacDonald, 57, a Hartland High School graduate who once had a store in Hartland, died suddenly Tuesday, according to published reports about her death and her .

Tributes, including people with Hartland connections, are being posted in several places, with more than 30 on her Facebook wall.

"(I) met Jeannine while working with — decades ago," posted Nancy Flanagan, a former Hartland resident and teacher who recently moved to the Traverse City area on Facebook. "Lost touch for several years — and I'm now thanking God and Facebook that we were able to re-connect. She'll be sorely missed."

Funeral arrangements are being handled by MacDonald's Funeral Home, 315 N. Michigan Ave., in Howell, according to an article by the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus. Visitation will be Friday from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with funeral services 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, the obituary said.

MacDonald, who owned the women's clothing boutique Lady Rebecca's Choice on Grand River Avenue, graduated from Hartland High School 1971, according to her Facebook info page.

She had a business in the village area of Hartland called The Shenandoah Shop before moving it to Howell, according to memorial column on LivingstonTalk by Maria Stuart. Renamed Thistledown, it later closed after she had opened Lady Rebecca's Choice, the column said.
