HARTLAND ARCHERS DOMINATE STATE TOURNAMENT AT CMU!

The Hartland Archery Teams competed in the 2014 National
Archery in the Schools Program State Tournament this past weekend.  Nearly 30 schools and over 400 archers from
all around the state met up at Central Michigan University for this event.  Once there all of these archers competed for
30 individual medals, three team State Championships, and two Overall Champions
(Female and Male).  Hartland archers took home 23 of the 30 individual medals,
they won all three team State Championships, and Emily Bee and Chris Bee took
home the Overall State Champion Awards for Hartland!

The Hartland High School Archery Team won their 3rd
consecutive State Title shooting the second highest score they have ever shot
in competition,  a 3420 out of 3600.  This is just below the team’s all-time high
score of 3423 which they shot twice last year, once at the State Tournament
(winning their 2nd State Championship) and again at Nationals which
gave them a 4th place finish (only 2 points from the podium).

Both younger divisions of Hartland Archery continued to
defend their previous state titles as well.
The Middle School Team won their 7th consecutive State
Championship and the Elementary School Team won their 6th
consecutive State Championship!!   This brings the total State Championship count
won by Hartland Archery to 16 in the past 7 years!

The coaches will now assemble the best team possible for the
elementary school, middle school, and high school divisions and move on to the
National Tournament.    This event will
be help in Louisville, KY on Mother’s Day weekend in May.   So there will approximately 68 archers and
their families heading down for this event to represent both Michigan and the
Hartland School District.
