will be deciding on names for two projects in Hartland soon.
The two locations needing official names are the , which is currently under construction and the old township hall, which is being remodeled.
The M-59 park project is the 64-acre park that includes eleven sports fields for soccer, football and lacrosse off of M-59 near Pleasant Valley Road. It is expected to open in the spring of 2013.
The former township hall will be the future location of the and will also have an office for the Hartland-based sheriff from the Livingston County sheriff's department whose office is currently located at the current Township Hall. Space will also be available for other community organizations and programs as well.
Suggestions for the old township hall include versions of the Center or possibly The HERO Building.
Township manager James Wickman will be presenting a proposal to the board with a naming process for the two locations at the next board meeting.
