Traffic Concerns

I would like to start a conversation regarding area traffic issues on M-59, east of US-23. I am not sure if it is a confusing design, ignorance of the laws, or just plain disrespectful-law-breaking-drivers that cruise through the area causing headaches for the rest of us. For instance, I travel the Blaine Road intersection (near Wendy’s) multiple times in a day and am amazed at how many drivers coming WB on M-59, enter the turning lanes, and continue to travel STRAIGHT across M-59 onto Blaine (between Wendy’s and Burger King), by running the red light! Or how about, in the same spot, those drivers coming from WB M-59 wanting to TURN LEFT onto eastbound M-59, cutting off the Northbound Blaine Road drivers when the light turns green? Where in Michigan does a driver wanting to turn left have the right of way OVER a right turn driver in a normal traffic light intersection??? Not to mention that two signs exist to remind these drivers of a basic, common intersection law! I have almost been T-Boned many a times while traveling through this intersection.

Does anyone else have concerns for their safety or for members of their family when driving down  M-59?
