Weekend Countdown: 5 New Year's Options

Here's a look at what's happening around the Hartland area.

Where: , 1535 N. Old US 23 in Hartland Township (Howell mailing)

When: 6:30 p.m. New Year's Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31

Cost: $110 per couple; $60 per individual

Why go: You can bowl (prizes available), hear good music, eat twice, have champagne and enjoy yourself in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.

When: The Bluescasters take the stage at 9 p.m.; come earlier for dinner to make sure you get a seat (reservations needed)

Cost: Call 810-632-5080 and make a reservation as soon as possible to get a seat or for more information; various dinner specials are available; the ladies also get drink specials, because it's their night.

Why go: Listen to a great band while enjoying terrific food. A champagne toast and pizza at midnight are all part of the festive atmosphere. Note that this event is for those 21 and older only.

, 1774 Old U.S. 23, in Hartland (Howell mailing), hosts a champagne toast to celebrate the Irish new year at 7 p.m. Reservations are recommended by calling 810-632-3400.

When: 7 p.m.-1 a.m. New Year's Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31

Cost: The cost, originally $60 for each person or $100 per couple, has changed. As of Dec. 24, it is $20 more per couple. Tickets must be purchased by making advanced reservations; call Waldenwoods' Cromaine office at 810-632-6401 during normal business hours (9 a.m.-5 p.m.).

Why go: Enjoy entertainment as well as fine dining, including hors d'oeuvres, Prime Rib, Fettucine Alfredo and all the trimmings for dinner as well as deluxe desserts and late night snacks. Party favors and a midnight champagne toast also are provided.

Where: , 10635 Dunham Rd, Hartland

When: Take your pick of two time slots this weekend: 12:30-2 p.m. or 2:30-4 p.m. on both Friday, Dec. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 31.

Cost: $5 per person
