18-Year-Old Attacked by Man with Foot Fetish

The following information was supplied by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

While walking home from work, an 18-year-old Howell man was approached and assaulted by a man who claimed to have a "foot fetish."

Police say the 18-year-old, who works at McDonald's in Genoa Township, was stopped by the man, who was driving a green Oldsmobile and asked for directions to Golf Club Rd.

The driver was acting "strange," according to the report, and after offering to drive the 18-year-old home, drove "back and forth" and then stopped again.

The second time the driver stopped, police say the suspect offered to pay the 18-year-old $100 to smell his feet, saying he had a foot fetish and was intoxicated.

The 18-year-old told the man that the request was strange and, according to the report, after the car began to drive back and forth again, the 18-year-old tried to run home.

Police say the car then stopped, blocking the path of the 18-year-old. The man got out of the car and then hit the 18-year-old in the nose and face, knocking him unconscious.

According to the report, the suspect then drove away.
