The following information was supplied by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On June 4, a gun was reported stolen sometime between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on the 9000 block of Pine Hill Trail according to a police report from the Livingston County Sheriff’s office.

According to the report, a Hartland Township man returned home and noticed the light on in his daughter’s bedroom. After checking the room, the man noticed some of her gun equipment out. He sent his daughter a text message asking if she was planning on going shooting and she replied that she didn’t know what he was talking about.

The man then searched his home, according to the police report, and discovered the sliding door in the kitchen slightly open and broken. When his daughter returned home, she discovered items moved in her room and when she checked her gun safe, found that her Kel-Tec 380 was missing.
