Items Reported Stolen From Fenton Barn, Garage

The following information was supplied by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Fenton man reported that between the hours of 9:30 p.m. on August 24 and 8:30 a.m. on August 25, a barn on the 8000 block of Linden Road was broken into, according to a report from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.

Police say the Fenton man told them he noticed the barn door open, which is normally shut, and after checking inside found several items missing including beaver traps estimated at $80, coon traps estimated at $288, two chain saws estimated at $100, a framing gun estimated at $300 and fur stretchers estimated at $130.

On August 22, an employee at the Hartland reported that a suspect was seen trying to leave the store with a cart full of items without paying, according to a police report from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.

Police say the employee reported noticing the suspect pushing a shopping cart outside and followed him into the parking lot where she saw him get into a red minivan and leave. According to the report, none of the items were removed from the shopping cart.

Bill received from unknown account

On August 20, a Brighton man reported he had received a bill from an AT&T account that he had never given permission to open, according to a police report from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.

The account was opened in January of 2011 to a residence in Detroit, according to the report.

Water softner, air compressor, tools stolen

On August 17, a Howell man reported that his garage on the 1000 block of Red Oaks Drive was broken into sometime after 3 a.m., according to a report from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.

Items reported stolen include a water softener estimated at $5,500, an air compressor estimated at $300, a circular saw estimated at $100 and a corded drill estimated at $200.
