Distracted Driver Rolls Car in Hartland

Police say the driver was distracted by her dog and cell phone before hitting a mailbox and tree.

A driver, distracted by her dog and cell phone, ended up rolling her car after striking multiple objects in a Hartland subdivision on Wednesday morning, according to a report from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.

Police say the accident occurred around 8 a.m. on Andover Blvd. in the Millpointe Subdivision.

After running off the road, the 2007 Toyota RAV4 struck a resident’s mailbox and nearby tree before overturning, according to the report.
