'Huffing' Driver Arrested After Crashing in Hartland Kroger Parking Lot

Police say the driver admitted to inhaling an air duster product, passing out and crashing his car into a fire hydrant.

A 24-year old Clarkston man was arrested in the parking lot of the Hartland Kroger on Monday after passing out at the wheel and crashing into a fire hydrant.

After arriving on scene and checking the driver for injuries, Michigan State Troopers from the Brighton Post say the driver told officers he had passed out after inhaling an air duster product.

According to a press release, police say the driver appeared to be intoxicated and was given several sobriety tests, including a one-leg stand, walk and turn and Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus.
