On Jan. 28, a Hartland couple reported several items stolen from their residence on the 1900 block of Santa Fe Trail, according to a police report from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the report, a Hartland man contacted police after discovering a jar of loose coins missing from the bedroom. The couple had originally noticed a pair of earrings lying on the floor next to the bed, but police say they had assumed the cat had knocked them to the floor.

After further investigation, the couple also discovered more missing items including two silver coins valued at $70, two sets of earrings, a bracelet and necklace valued at more than $250 and a second jar of coins.

Police say the Hartland man is unsure of when the break-in could have occurred and told police they frequently leave their front door unlocked.

Same here. We spent most of the day and evening on Saturday at the carnival. Kids had a blast withRead More the unlimited ride band and they were able to spent time with school friends before the summer off. I didn't see any problems, fights or anything else some people seemed to be worried about. The carnival even kept rides open after 11:00pm for those last few kids that wanted to get on one more time. Hope we can get something again in September or October.
