A 36-year-old Gaines man was arrested on the suspicion of drunk driving Friday afternoon after striking six to seven vehicles during a chase that ended in Hartland, according to WHMI (93.5 FM).

State police and Livingston County Sheriff's Department caught the man north of M-59 on northbound U.S. 23 at about 2:30 p.m. after chasing him from westbound I-96 in Oakland County and through the Brighton area, the radio station reported.

It is the second this year. Wethy pleaded in July and was later sentenced to 3 to 10 years in prison, according to state records.
