Missing Howell Area Man Located in Nursing Home

A missing 54-year-old Howell area man was found by state police in a nursing home in Whitmore Lake.

An employee of Northfield Place Nursing home called police after learning of media reports that Michael John Moses had not been in contact with family or friends since March and reported him missing.

Moses, who is described as facing serious health issues, sought treatment at the facility, according to police.

Sgt. Mark Thompson of the Brighton State Police post called the employee a "good citizen."

"We're very please that this happened," Thompson said, adding that the longer people are missing the less likely they are found alive.

Gail Richardson, Moses' sister, was appreciative of the effort by police and media, a new release said.
