No Charges Filed in Hartland Dad's Suspected 'Hit-Man' Plot

No charges will be filed against Mark Grabowski who was accused of soliciting jail inmates in suspected 'hit-man' plot due to insufficient evidence.

Mark Grabowski, the Hartland Township father who served jail time for kidnapping his son, Conner, will not have charges brought against him on allegations that the jail inmate sought to hire someone to kill his ex-wife.

According to a press release from the Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney William Vailliencourt, after reviewing the investigation, it was agreed that the evidence was insufficient to bring charges of Solicitation to Commit Murder.

In May, the Press & Argus reported that Sheriff Bob Bezotte told the newspaper detectives had investigated whether Grabowski had tried to solicit a “hit man” to kill the mother of his son, his attorney, the Circuit Court judge and prosecutor who handled his felony case.

According to the Prosecutor's press release on July 12, an undercover police officer had contacted Grabowski, expressing an interest in carrying out such an act, however, Grabowski’s response was to reject the offer and immediately contacted authorities.
