Crime Report: Remsing Street in Hartland Hit with Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins

The following arrest information was supplied by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Three vehicles on Remsing Street in Hartland were broken into on Oct. 14, according to reports released by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department.

A 40-year-old Hartland man reported that a case containing a bow and arrow set valued at $800 was stolen out of the back of his 1999 Chevrolet K1500 parked on the 1600 block of Remsing Street on Oct. 14, according to the report.

The car had been locked except for a broken rear passenger door, the report said.

On the same day, a 33-year-old Hartland resident reported that a purse was stolen out of an unlocked 1999 Chrysler Town & Country parked in the driveway of their Hartland residence on Oct. 14, according to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department.

The purse, valued at $45 and a Husky pocket knife, valued at $40 was taken, the report stated.

The incident occured on the 1500 block of Remsing Street, according to the report.

A purse was also stolen out of an unlocked 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe parked in the driveway of the home of a 49-year-old Hartland resident on the 1500 block of Remsing Street on Oct. 14, according to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department.

Credit cards and $100 in cash was taken, according to the report.

$5,000 worth of goods stolen from Fenton home

A 23-year-old man from Fenton reported that the home that he lives in with his parents was broken into with items stolen while he was at work on Oct. 14, according to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department.

The man stated that he left for work at 9:30 a.m. and when he returned home that evening, the back door was open slightly, although there were no signs of forced entry. The report also stated that the victim's parents have been on vacation for the past three weeks.

Televisions, laptops, a jewelery safe and several weapons, a total value of over $5,000 were all taken, the report said.

The home is on 1200 block of Rohn Road, according to the report.
