Police Question Suspect in Connection with Home Invasion and Larceny

Ross Austin Dimercurio, of Highland Township, has been charged with multiple crimes in the Brighton and Hartland area.

Authorities say a suspect has confessed to committing numerous crimes in Livingston County, including larcenies from motor vehicles and residential break-ins in the Brighton and Hartland area.

Ross Austin Dimercurio, 18, of Highland Township, was questioned by detectives, according to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department. He was charged with one count of Second Degree Home Invasion, two counts of Breaking and Entering, less than $200, and two counts of Larceny from Motor Vehicle, less than $200.

Police say the four separate incidents took place during the month of January, and Dimercurio targeted unlocked vehicle in driveways, mainly stealing money and electronics. The suspect drove a red, two-door 2000 Pontiac Sunfire, according to the release.

Police say Dimercurio is currently lodged at the Oakland County Jail on separate charges stemming from similar incidents in Oakland County.
