Twin Brothers Suspected of Working Together on Local Meijer Thefts

The following information was supplied by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two brothers are suspected of working together to steal items from several Meijer locations including Hartland, Howell and Northville locations, according to a report from the Livingston County Sheriff's Department.

Police say they have investigated other incidents involving the two men, who are twins, including an incident from last October at the Hartland Meijer where a Dyson vacuum was taken.

Police say that after viewing past surveillance footage, a store employee contacted police after seeing the two men. Police say the brothers are seen entering the store together and a few minutes later, footage shows one of the men selecting a vacuum, valued at $399, and put it into a shopping cart.

According the report, the second man remained at the end of the aisle "pacing back and forth."

Minutes later, footage from the store then showed one of the men talking on his phone near the check-out lanes, and 30 seconds later, the second man walking through the exit with the vacuum in the cart, police said.
