Stranger Climbs into Bed with Homeowner and Wife

On July 29, a homeowner on the 11000 block of Patterson Lake Dr. in Pinckney called 911 after an unknown man entered his bedroom and climbed into bed with him and his wife, according to a report from the Livingston County Sheriff’s department.

According to the report, the couple left their bedroom after being awakened by the intruder. When police arrived on scene, they found the homeowner in the front yard holding a pistol.

After entering the home, police found an unconscious man in the bed with his shorts partly down, according to the report. The man did not respond to commands was placed in handcuffs. According to the report, it was clear he had been drinking. Results of a breath test conducted by police showed a blood alcohol content of .174.

After eventually waking up, the man told police, “This isn’t my house,” according to the report, and was taken into a patrol car.

The suspect then told police that he had unsupervised children at his home, which was located just a few doors down from where he was found, according to the report. Upon entering the second home, police found the children sleeping along with dirty dishes in the sink and empty alcohol containers and garbage on the counters, according to the police report.

Police said that neighbors agreed to watch the children until family arrived.
