5 Quick Facts on Tuesday's School Election

Here is info to help you before you vote.

Key points about Tuesday's election include:

  1. On the ballot is whether to renew an 18-mill non-homestead tax for one year. This would generate $4.8 million for the Hartland School District and has been in place since 1995. It is levied against businesses, vacant land and second homes.
  2. Also before voters is filling an open seat on the Hartland Board of Education. Cynthia Kenrick of Hartland Township is the only name on the ballot. She would replace the spot held by Elsie McPherson-Brown, who she would not to seek re-election.
  3. All polling locations in Hartland are at the , 9525 Highland Rd. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  4. You can still request an absentee ballot from the clerk's office until 4 p.m. Monday at the , 2655 Clark Rd. The office is open until 6 p.m.  Questions, call 810-632-7498 ext. 220.
