Hartland Announces a 'Name That Place' Contest

Hartland Township is asking for the community's help in naming the two new parks and the former Township Hall.

The Hartland Township announced on Friday a contest open to all Hartland residents to help name three new locations within the community.

Locations include the M-59 Park, scheduled to open spring of 2013, the Clark Road Park, schedulded to break ground this spring and the former Township Hall.

The former township hall will be the future home for the Hartland teen center, Next Door, but will also be open to other community groups and organizations as well.

“Hartland Township boasts many gathering places enjoyed by our residents and we are adding even more,” said James Wickman, Hartland Township Manager. “As the community celebrates with us, we need their help to give each of these assets a worthy and memorable name."

A contest entry form is available on the township website. Suggestions must be submitted by January 2, 2013.
