Livingston County sheriff, 47th District Representative seat and County Commissioner race for District 3 on the ballot.

As we look ahead to November’s elections, Hartland Patch is devoted to bring you the information you need about every race in town. Here are five that locals are already talking about:

: The incumbent has a regular column on Patch that covers issues related to Livingston County and the Hartland area. Denby will be running against Harold Melton (R) in August and will face Shawn Lowe Desai (D) in November.

 Running against the Republican candidate in the November election, Desai was also one of the democrate candidates that urged Livingston County to ban synthetic marijuana earlier this month.

The incumbent Livingston County sheriff made news last week during that were known sellers of K2 in Hartland. After officials announced K2/Spice was banned in Livingston County, Bezotte says the sheriff's deparment confiscated more than $3,000 worth of the synthetic marijuana.

C.J. Maier (R): The republican candidate will run against Bob Bezotte for Livingston County Sheriff. A career investigator for more than 37 years Maier has been with for Chrysler since 2004.

): Livingston County Commissioner Dave Domas (R-Tyrone Township) will be running against Democrat Dane Morris in November. Domas, who has been a county commisioner for District 3 since 1992, represents all of Tyrone Township and Hartland precincts 1, 3, 4 and 5.
