Wes Nakagiri from Hartland announced today that he will be seeking the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor in 2014.

Nakagiri, a local TEA Party leader and founder of RetakeOurGov, is running “to bring a conservative voice to the current Lansing administration.”

“Having a grassroots conservative on the 2014 ticket will energize the base of the GOP to come out and work hard on its behalf,” Nakagiri wrote in a press release. “This energy and enthusiasm will pay dividends up and down the ballot.”

Traveling to Lansing this week, Nakagiri will be working to “urge” Senators to vote against the expansion of Medicaid, an issue he calls a “particular sore spot with many Republicans.”

“Indeed, this expansion is directly at odds with the Republican Party platform,” he wrote. “Many in the party are disillusioned that our executive leadership is going against a key plank in our platform.

“When I’m elected as Lieutenant Governor I will not sit passively by when Republican Party leadership promotes legislation that does not coincide with the party’s stated vision,” Nakagiri wrote. “I will be an outspoken advocate for following the United States Constitution, the Michigan Constitution, and the Republican Platform.”

I'm tired of Wes and his Tea Party cronies, why: They tax pensions of seniors, took away union rights, screwed the teachers, raised hunting license fees, hid pricing on the store shelves (did that lower your grocery bill?), now they want to raise gas tax and sales tax on the middle class...no wonder I didn't see him at the Melon Fest this year, people are fed up. As a republican, I stopped by the Livingston Democratic Boot and picked up a "One Term Nerd" sticker...Go away Wes! You're bad for Hartland!

TEA stands for "Taxed Enough Already," and they did not support any tax or fee increases. Nor did they support RINO Rick Snyder. If you were a real Republican, you'd already know that.

Sure they supported it, otherwise, in a republican controlled legislature, it would not have been approved. If you were a real Tea Party advocate, YOU'D already know that.
