Another Single-lane Closure on U.S. 23 Starts Friday

Northbound work between Silver Lake Road and I-96 begins at 8 p.m. and should end by 5 a.m. Monday.

A single-lane closure will start at 8 p.m. tonight on northbound U.S. 23 between Silver Lake Road and I-96 through 5 a.m. Monday, according to an email announcement from MDOT.

Currently, there is a single-lane there is a single-lane closure in place on southbound US-23, just south of I-96, near Brighton, the email said. The right lane is closed for concrete pavement repairs until 5 a.m. Monday, it said.

MDOT is asking motorists to watch for slowdowns and to drive carefully in these areas. The latest reminder comes as ongoing construction projects also are forcing single-lane closures in both directions on U.S. 23 north of I-96 near Hyne Road.
