On the Agenda: Hartland Board Meets; Library Featuring Live Music, Harry Potter

A public hearing on a plan to refinance millions of dollars of Hartland Township's debt to improve the township's immediate cash flow will be part of the Board of Trustees meeting 7 p.m. Monday at Township Hall, 2655 Clark Rd.

The move is designed to help officials address projected sewer assessment delinquencies by refunding current bonds by issuing new debt.

The agenda also includes:

• A presentation by Livingston County Drain Commissioner Brian  Jonckheere on the Lake Tyrone sanitary sewer system that needs to be updated or replaced.
• A work session to discuss the township's strategic plan elected official compensation and cemeteries.

Other events this week include:

• — The Southpaw Isle Steel Band kicks off four weeks of live music Wednesday on the lawn at the main branch, 3688 N. Hartland Road. The music begins at 7:30 p.m.

• — The library is hosting a 6:30 p.m. party Thursday to coincide with the release next week of the final Potter film. Get ready for the big event with a 2 p.m. Potter movie Friday in .
