UPDATED: Road Work Planned on U.S. 23, I-96 in Brighton, Hartland This Weekend

Single-lane closures scheduled near Lee and Faussett roads while ramp closures to begin Monday.

Construction in four areas is expected to affect traffic starting this weekend along U.S. 23 and I-96 in the Brighton and Hartland areas, according to an email released from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) on Thursday.

In the Brighton area, a single-lane closure is scheduled to between at 10 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday on northbound U.S. 23 between Lee Road and the CSX railroad just south of I-96. In addition, on and off ramps along southbound U.S. 23 at Lee will be closed starting Monday for reconstruction. The project is expected to last two weeks.

In addition near Livingston County's eastern border, the eastbound on-ramp at Pleasant Valley and I-96 will be closed for resurfacing from about 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.

In the Hartland area, a single-lane closure is scheduled from 8 a.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Monday on northbound U.S. 23 at Faussett Road for concrete repairs.
