Single-Lane Road Closures Scheduled for U.S. 23 on Saturday, Next Week

Work affects area south of I-96.

Road work along U.S. 23 is scheduled to force single-lane closures on Saturday and next week from Monday through Thursday, an email for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced.

The Saturday closure will be on the northbound side between Silver Lake Road and the I-96 interchange between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. Guardrail work will be performed along the shoulder, the email said.

Next week from Monday through Thursday, there are plans for daytime single-lane closures in each directions in the same area, the announcement said. The closure will effect the northbound traffic from Silver Lake Road to I-96 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and southbound traffic from the CSX railroad to just south of I-96 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
