Township Agenda Items Include Approval for 3 Hartland Projects

Tony Sacco's, The River Community Church and DTE solar farm are all on Tuesday's agenda for Hartland Board of Trustees.

Approvals for the next phases of three ongoing projects will be on the agenda for the Hartland Township Board of Trustees on Tuesday night.

Items include an outdoor eating area and façade changes for Tony Sacco’s Coal Oven Pizza, a preliminary site plan approval for the River Community Church and approval for a permit for construction for the DTE Energy solar panel farm at Hartland High School.

The agenda item for Tony Sacco’s includes a proposal for a seating area for 26 patrons on the west side of the restaurant's future location, the former Blockbuster store, that is currently a landscaped area.

Existing landscape would have to be re-positioned, according to the agenda memorandum by Planning Director Dave Campbell, and the existing sidewalk would be re-positioned.

In April, the Hartland trustees reviewed the preliminary site plan for The River Community Church, however, no action was take at the April 11 meeting. According to the meeting agenda, the Planning Commission passed a motion to recommend approval by the board for the reviewed preliminary site plan application.

On May 9, the Planning Commission also passed a motion to approve the site plan application for the DTE solar panels, according to the agenda, and determined that the conditions have been met and recommend the Township Board approve a permit to begin construction.

According to DTE hopes to begin construction on the solar panel farm in June, after Hartland High School’s last day of school.
