What Do You Want Fenton’s Future to Look Like?

Fenton officials will host a City of Fenton Community Visioning Forum at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Andrew G. Schmidt Middle School Cafeteria.

What's your vision for Fenton?

Fenton officials will host a City of Fenton Community Visioning Forum at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Andrew G. Schmidt Middle School Cafeteria. Fenton officials said input from all elements of the community is essential for creating a Strategic Plan for the City of Fenton’s Future.

They have asked what improvements would you like to see in our community? And what would you like to see the City of Fenton look like in the next 10 years?

Dinner and Child Care will be provided at the event.

But we don't have to wait until the event to start the conversation. What do you think? What businesses would you like to see in Fenton? Is moving forward with Cornerstone a good idea? What would you like to see changed?

I would like to see the streetscape project, Cornerstone, new Fenton Winery & Brewery and old Fenton Fire Hall projects completed. That will be a great start in making Fenton a destination. I think the town will be able to build off of those places.

It bothers me that the original Diblleville downtown is not getting more attention. The facade program was scraped to provide funds for the Cornerstone project. So many towns are losing their downtowns to fire it would be nice if these buildings were improved. When the Old Fenton Fire Hall opens that area will be a main tourist area between French Laundry and the Fire Hall, It's terrible to see brick crumbling, water damage etc.

I do hope they are able to revisit the facade program in the future. I am excited to see Round Town Cupcakes come to town, but sad to see the Edge Gallery go. I think things are headed in the right direction, but will be nice to see a few more project completed.
