Designer Drugs & Emerging Drug Trend Session

Livingston County Human Collaborative Services Body (HCSB) Substance Awareness and Treatment Work Group in collaboration with the Washtenaw Substance Abuse Coordinating Agency hosts Designer Drugs & Emerging Drug Trend informational session for parents and the community from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 at the LESA Building.

The free event will educate those attending about designer drugs such as K2, LoL, Spice and bath salts -- things available at local gas stations and drug stores -- as well as how prescription drugs are being abused.

Speakers include Stephanie VanDerKool, public health educator and substance abuse prevention specialist, as well as local law enforcement, corrections, and mental health/substance abuse professionals.

Free refreshments and drug testing kits will be available for parents and community members attending. No pre-registration is required.
