According to WHMI, will be closed today due to rumors of death threats taking place across Facebook.
Information about guns being spread throughout the school forced officials to close classes and other Hartland Community Education events that take place on school grounds, including activities at the community pool.
Superintendent Janet Sifferman has plans to meet with the Livingston County Sheriff's Department to discuss the threats.
A an automated call to parents announcing the school closing went out around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning with the message reading:
ATTENTION: School is CANCELLED for Tuesday, April 24, 2012 for Hartland High School ONLY. This includes any Community Education Activities that take place at the High School and the Pool.
